ReMe – The Sandhills – October 2017
When should I plan to arrive and depart at ReMe - The Sandhills?
Registration for our ReMe Retreat in The Sandhills of North Carolina will take place at Creative Studios NC from 1:00 until 4:00 on Tuesday, October 17th. During registration, we’ll welcome you with open arms and introduce Jean and Jodi's studios and our classroom home. You’ll have the opportunity to select your space for the week, and familiarize yourself with your surroundings before unpacking and relaxing for a few hours. Then we'll gather again at our "ReMe Hosue" for drinks, dinner, and our WelcomeParty.
As for departure, our final day of classes will be held on Saturday, October 21st, and class will officially end at 4:00.
Whether driving or flying, if your schedule permits, we highly recommend adding a day or two to the beginning and end of your trip. We promise that you'll be glad that you did, as you'll be less rushed and more inclined to enjoy all that there is to see in The Sandhills and the surrounding area.
For Guests staying at our ReMe House, lodging for Saturday night, after the offical close of our ReMe Retreat, is included in your stay. If you'd like to join us in The ReMe House on the night before the festivities begin, arrangements can be made for an additional $75.
For Guests Staying at Springhill Suites, the hotel will allow for ReMe Pricing on the days both before and after our ReMe Retreat.

Who will be teaching and what classes will be offered?
Jodi Ohl and Jean Skipper, the founders and hosts of ReMe Retreats, will each be teaching a full day's class individually. They'll also be collaborating in the classroom for an additional full day class that's become a treasured ReMe Retreat Tradition. What classes will they be teaching?

Will I be enrolled in all three of these classes?
As a guest of ReMe, you'll automatically be enrolled in all classes, open studios, and special events. Each class is designed for all proficiency levels, and our low student to staff ratio will ensure plenty of individualized attention.
Will there be time at ReMe for Rest and Relaxation?
Absolutely! We've worked hard to ensure a balanced mix of activities and relaxation for our guests. Classes will be broken into manageable segments with breaks between each. You'll also find several optional activities in our itinerary. While we'd love for you to participate with us, if a nap or a bit of solo exploring is calling, we'll completely understand.
How many guests will be in attendance?
There will be a maximum of twenty five guests at ReMe – The Sandhills, and we'll have room for housing a maximum of ten guests at our ReMe House. By hosting this ReMe Retreat in our very own studios, we’re able to increase availability while still maintaining the friendly intimate environment that you’ve grown to expect and love with ReMe Retreats.
With such limited availability, and given our existing waiting list, we expect a full house. Reservations will be accepted as they are received, and we encourage you to claim your space early.
What’s included in the price of the ReMe – The Sandhills?
All of your classes, supplies, breakfasts, snacks, and beverages will be included in the cost of your registration, as will lunches during class. Will there be food in The Studio?
Will there be food in The Studio?!? Have you met us?!?!?!? Absolutely!
Delectable treats will surround you throughout your ReMe Experience. Fresh baked goods will be available each morning as will a variety of snacks throughout the day. Coffee, tea, and spa water will also be readily available to you.

What type of clothing should I bring?
While we’re hoping for beautiful weather, we recommend dressing in layers during October in North Carolina. With that in mind, casual and comfortable will fit the bill for our time together, especially in The Studio. You’ll also want to bring comfy PJs, and clothes for workouts or swimming if the mood moves you. And finally, a dress casual outfit or two for our evenings on the town might also be nice.

What can I expect in the classroom, and will I need to bring class supplies?
You’re going to love our classes! We’ll provide you with your own creative space for the duration of your visit. Our cheery classroom at Creative Studios NC will serve as the home for our classes for the week, and we’ll have plenty of room to spread out and create. Once you settle into your workspace there, you won’t need to pack, unpack, or relocate for the remainder of our time together.
During ReMe, your instructors will include Jodi Ohl and Jean Skipper. You’ll receive three full days of class time with them; and also daily demonstrations and open studio sessions.
We’ll have plenty of tools and supplies to share, and we encourage you to bring your own favorites too. Please visit our class descriptions under the “ReMe – The Sandhills” tab at the top of this page for more specific details about what you might like to bring for each class.
While all class costs and kit costs are included in the price of ReMe, if your heart desires, you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase supplies and original artwork from our on site ReMe Store and Creative Studios NC. We LOVE our art supplies and vintage finds, and we’re looking forward to sharing our treasures with you.
During open studio time you will also have all of your class material (paint, mediums, tools, etc.) to use or feel free to bring anything else you'd like to work on, such as a journal or any of your own projects, during your free time.
Can you accommodate meals for a vegetarian?
Absolutely! Jean's a vegetarian, so you'll be in good company.
Can you accommodate my gluten free diet?
Yes we can! If you'll discuss your preferences with us, we'll be happy to provide you with gluten free options.
Can you accommodate my food allergy?
Please understand that your health and well being are our primary concerns. While we aren't able to offer meal plans for specific food allergies. If you'd like to discuss your particular situation, please contact us ReMe@ReMeRetreats.com .
Is there anything else?
Surprises are good, and we have oodles of them in store for you! Mum’s the word for now, and in the meantime, we hope that you enjoy every minute of the anticipation.
Will additional ReMe Experiences be held in other locations?
Possibly. Our long term dream for ReMe is one of managed growth in North Carolina. While we're actively seeking opportunities that will allow us to accommodate additional guests, we'll also strive to preserve the intimate nature of each event.
Our history was built on our all inclusive ReMe Retreats, and they remain the flagship of our offerings.
In 2017, we'll also be adding "ReMe Presents..."., and our first will be Absolutely Abstracts with Jodi Ohl. Think of these mini-retreats as an intensive with your favorite instructor. Slightly less inclusive than our retreats, these ReMe Experiences will provide you with three days in the classroom, most supplies, breakfast, lunch, and beverages during the day, and a few of the extra surprises for which we've become known.

Will you still be hosting ReMe Retreats on Ocracoke Island?
Absolutely! We love Ocracoke, and our Flagship ReMe Retreat will continue to be held at our historic Soundfront Inn there each year in May. With a maximum number of nine guests at ReMe – Ocracoke, we’re perpetually on a waiting list for available spaces. What Are The Payment and Refund Policies of ReMe?
For all of our ReMe Experiences, your first payment to ReMe Retreats, will secure your space, and preferences for all options for each ReMe Experiene will be assigned in the order that reservations are received.
We offer flexible payment options during open registration, which ends when all spaces are filled. After registering, you may pay your balance in full at any time by contacting us at the email listed below. If you’d like to request an alternative payment plan, we'll be happy to discuss other options with you. Please contact us at ReMe@ReMeRetreats.com with your request.
Due to the expenses that are involved in planning a ReMe Retreat, from a business perspective we find it necessary to have a formal cancellation policy. We understand that life can happen unexpectedly, and our goal is to never make my money off of your personal challenges. If you find yourself in a position where you need to cancel your attendance at a ReMe Retreat, please contact us as early as possible, and we'll do everything that we can to help you to minimize the financial impact of your cancellation.
Within seven days of your registration, you may cancel your reservation, and 100% of your deposit, less a $150 administrative cost, will be refunded.
After seven days of your registration, and before sixty days of the beginning of your ReMe Experience, if you cancel your reservation, a $150 administrative cost will be assessed, and 50% of your remaining deposit will be refunded.
Within sixty days of the beginning of your ReMe Retreat, if you cancel your reservation, you will forfeit 100% of your deposit.
