Step by Step Instructions
Instructor Jodi Ohl will break down the steps one can take to create uniquely textured and geometric shapes, based off 'imaginary' grids. By the end of the retreat, students will create a 2 piece set of complimentary abstract paintings to display in their home or office. Whether you are beginner or a seasoned painter, you'll find this class easy to follow, yet challenging enough to spread your wings as an artist.

Explore Mixed Media Tools and Techniques
Students can be sure they will be exposed to a variety of tools and techniques that will not only enhance their project, but also can be applied to a variety of painting processes. Each artist will be working on 2 canvases, approximately 12 x 24 in size (included in your ReMe Sandhills tuition). *Note for those flying, we can easily help you with shipping of your finished work.
What Do I Need To Bring For This Class?
In the spirit of ReMe, we strive to include as much of your supplies for each class as we can. During "Going For The Grid", students will be working with assorted acrylic paints (soft body and fluid), along with a variety of mark making tools, dry drawing media, gel mediums, and stencils. All of these items and your substrates will be provided for students to use and or share. If you have your own favorite colors or stencils you'd like to use, feel free to bring those along.
Guests should bring a few paint brushes (large flat and a few assorted round or flat).
